Mi Max 2 launched with 5300 mAh battery in India at Rs 16,999

Xiaomi has launched its new Mi Max 2  smartphone in India, which is the successor to the Mi Max lineup which was launched way back last year. The new Mi Max 2 is priced at Rs 16,999 and it comes only in Matte Black finish colour variant.

The Mi Max 2 is the first smartphone which has a  battery capacity of 5300 mAh which is can last up to a full day. The Mi max 2 has some additional features which are the Split screen, Readability mode, new MIUI 8, IR blaster for controlling smart home devices, stereo sound etc. The Mi Max 2 comes with the label of Made in India on its box as it is manufactured in India under the Make in India Initiative.

At the event, the company also announced that they were going to open two new Mi stores in Bengaluru which are 1MG –Lido Mall and Orion Mall on 22 July and 29  July respectively. The Mi Max 2 will be available on July 27 on all the leading online and offline stores. The company also said that it would be available on the Mi home as well as the Mi.com as Xiaomi has completed its 3 years operation in India and would be available only on 20-21 July in its Anniversary sale. The Mi Max 2 would be available with a launch offer by Reliance Jio where the users will be getting 100 GB 4G additional data on buying the device.
